Wii Technology

Video conferencing has come a far distance from its beginning. The idea behind video conferencing is no longer just for Charlies Angles it is a widely used type of technology. Video games have impacted that technology in a very major way in only a few years. Among leaders in technology, the Wii, has made some great strides at video technology.

The Wii uses motion sensors inside its controllers to activate motion during game play. These same sensors have been used in other gaming systems for similar purposes.  Along with its motion sensor is a video sensor that records the position of the body for effective game play and motion controlled game play without controllers. This system is apart of cutting edge technology that is changing the way we look at game systems and technology. We no longer have to push a series of buttons to get to what we want, instead all we have to do is point and grab.

In conjunction with the Kinect for Xbox 360 the Wii has dramatically impacted the way people play games. We have started to focus more so on the active part of games. This is apart of video recognition software. The same soft ware is capable of capturing and transmitting your image to other computers or receivers. Essentially the game console could be use for a business meeting if it was necessary. Who could imagine a better way to stay in touch with family members than through a game system

Anything for video chat to video games the technology that we see in todays electronics are changing the way we communicate and entertain ourselves. It is easy for us to overlook the strides that we have taken to get to this point but there is no doubt that those strides existed. The Wii is definitely a large step to bigger and more interesting things within video technology.
